Job Description

This is a hands-on role that primarily involves setting up and performing tests,as part of either durability or safety teams. Technicians work on projects fromstart to finish which involves:• Interpreting technical specifications• Accurately preparing and setting up test articles and fixtures/vehicles(requires kneeling and heavy lifting)• Evaluating the performance of test articles using measurements and sensors Documenting detailed test procedures• Communicating with supervisors and customers in a clear and timely manner• Organizing and prioritizing tasks to ensure all deadlines are met• Extended hours may be required due to test schedulesRequired Qualifications• High attention to detail• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. unassisted• Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problemsindependently• Experience with basic hand and power tools• Strong verbal and written communication skills• General computer skills (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word)Preferred Qualifications• General understanding of automotive parts and mechanics• Welding experience• Hi-lo experience• Experience with basic fabrication tools (band saw, drill press, etc.)• General understanding of fasteners (metric/standard)
