Position Overview: Wire Harness Technician (Non-Automotive) Direct hire

The CCD Technician role is a highly specialized and technical position focused on the hands-on tasks related to CCD rewiring, wire harness assembly, and other associated repairs. This role is crucial to the success of the CCD Division, directly impacting the quality and efficiency of our repair processes. The CCD Technician will work under the supervision of the CCD Division Leader and collaborate closely with the VP of Engineering and Operations to meet production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:1. Technical Assembly and Repair: CCD Wire Harness Rewiring: Perform detailed rewiring of CCD cameras,ensuring precision and adherence to technical specifications. This includes working with fine wire gauges, managing delicate components, and maintaining strict quality control throughout the process. Assemble and repair wire harnesses for CCD cameras, following detailed schematics and diagrams. Ensure that all connections are secure, and components are correctly aligned and functioning Optical Repairs: Assist in the replacement of optical components, such asnegatives, objectives, and other sensitive elements of the CCD system,ensuring they meet operational standards.2. Wire Harness & CCD Chip Preparation
Select and use appropriate wires according to wiring diagram, including small-gauge wires as small as 40 AWG, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
 Precisely strip and prepare wires to meet specified requirements.
Carefully remove potting from CCD chips while maintaining the integrity of the components.
 Thoroughly inspect CCD chips to identify any defects or irregularities.3. Assembly and Integration
Skillfully solder prepared wires to CCD chips, adhering to exacting standards.
 Apply potting techniques after assembly to protect and secure components.
 Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to integrate wire harnesses into products.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance
 Perform comprehensive testing of CCD images to ensure functionality and quality.
 Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
 Conduct risk assessments and establish preventive measures to address potential failure points.
 Ensure all wire harnesses comply with ISO 9001:2015 standards and other relevant medical device regulations.

5. Documentation and Compliance Manage documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and revision control.
 Maintain detailed harness schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
 Stay updated with industry standards and regulations related to medical devices.

6. Production Targets Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Key Objectives:• Production Goals: Contribute to the CCD Division’s goal of achieving it’s monthly production targets• Quality Maintenance: Ensure all repaired CCD units meet or exceed company’s quality standards, minimizing rework or returns.• Process Efficiency: Support the continuous improvement of repair processes helping to streamline operations and reduce turnaround times.

Qualifications: Education Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
 Technical or Vocation School Program specializing in electronic assembly, electrical systems, or microelectronics
 Certifications in Electronics Assembly and Soldering: IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A610, IPC/WHMA-A-620•

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of high-volume wire harness assembly experience with wires of 40 AWG or smaller.

 Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and using relevant tools and equipment.
Experience with PCB Repair and Rework is recommended.• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, connectors, and wire materials. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Familiarity with quality management systems, including ISO 9001:2015.
 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Compensation and Benefits:• Salary: Starting at $22.50 per hour ($46,000 per year), based on qualifications and experience.
 Annual salary reviews with potential adjustments based on performance evaluations.
