Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Powertrain Engine Calibration Engineer for a senior-level contract position in Troy, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engine calibration and a deep understanding of powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize engine calibration for performance, emissions, and fuel economy.
- Conduct engine testing and data analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engine calibration into vehicle control systems.
- Utilize advanced calibration tools and software for data acquisition and analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve calibration-related issues during development and validation phases.
- Document calibration procedures, results, and updates as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in powertrain engine calibration.
- Proficiency with calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and emission control systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle powertrains.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for emissions and fuel economy.
