A Magnet-designated hospital in Southern Vermont is searching for a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy Unit. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the department. You will engage in caring relationships with patients and families, work collaboratively with other healthcare staff, and use sound judgment while performing nursing and medical interventions. Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for procedures, administer moderate sedation under the direction of the gastroenterologist, and provide post-procedure care for same-day patients.
• Develop, evaluate, and revise the patient's care plan in response to the patient's needs.
• Document care provided and the patient’s progress toward desired outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge or transfer.
• Administer medication to patients as directed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• A BSN is preferred.
• Active RN License.

Additional information:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, days
• Compensation: $32-44/hr. base, depending on experience, + differentials!
