Job Description
Director of Women's Services | Greater Raleigh-Durham Area
- Our acute care medical center in the Greater Raleigh-Durham area is seeking a Director of Women's Services to lead a focused and growing Labor and Delivery department within a close-knit community-based setting.
- This director-level role carries 24/7 accountability for the full scope of Obstetrical Services — clinical operations, performance improvement, human resource management, fiscal and supply management, staff development, and patient experience.
- The Director ensures departmental compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, hospital bylaws, and Standards of Nursing Practice, and serves as an active partner to physicians and the broader healthcare team.
- For the right leader, the smaller program size is the opportunity — direct visibility, meaningful community impact, and the ability to shape a department's culture and growth without the layers and bureaucracy of a large system.
What This Role Requires
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina, or eligibility for licensure
- Five years of recent obstetrical clinical experience, including a minimum of three years in a management or leadership capacity
- Current BLS and NRP certifications; fetal monitoring certification required
- ACLS desired, or willingness to obtain within one year
- BSN preferred
- STABLE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
The Location
The Greater Raleigh-Durham corridor is one of the most consistently livable and professionally vibrant markets in the Southeast — strong communities, excellent amenities, and a well-regarded regional healthcare presence make this an attractive opportunity for candidates ready to lead with autonomy in a community they can truly call home.
