What You'll Do as Our DOP:

As the Director of Pharmacy, you will be at the forefront of our pharmacy operations, ensuring we meet and exceed regulatory standards while delivering exceptional patient care. Here’s a glimpse of your exciting responsibilities:

  • Lead with Purpose: Oversee the vibrant daily operations of our pharmacy department, including dispensing, compounding, and medication therapy management, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
  • Innovate and Inspire: Develop and implement cutting-edge pharmacy policies and protocols that align with federal and state regulations. Your contributions will shape the future of our pharmacy practices!
  • Forge Partnerships: Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy outcomes, all while championing evidence-based prescribing practices that enhance patient safety.
  • Negotiate and Strategize: Engage in dynamic negotiations with pharmaceutical suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure we have the best resources available for our patients.
  • Drive Compliance: Oversee the implementation of the 340B Drug Pricing Program, ensure adherence to program requirements, and help us deliver sustainable care options.
  • Champion Infection Control: Serve as a co-leader of the antimicrobial stewardship committee, actively impacting hospital protocols and educating staff to promote effective antibiotic usage.
  • Collaborate in Excellence: Lead Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) committee meetings, evaluating and making impactful recommendations on formulary management alongside interdisciplinary team members.
  • Develop Talent: Inspire and supervise a passionate team of pharmacy personnel and students, fostering an environment that encourages learning and professional growth.

What You Bring as a Solid Director of Pharmacy Candidate:

Are you ready to take on this challenge? Here’s what we’re looking for in our superstar candidate:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy is essential; a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is preferred.

- An active North Carolina Pharmacy License is a must.

- At least five (5) years of pharmacy experience, with previous hospital pharmacy management experience.

- Experience overseeing, implementing, and complying with the 340B Drug Pricing Program, ensuring adherence to program requirements and guidelines.

- Familiarity with Omnicell and Meditech will set you apart.

- A commitment to continued learning, meeting, or exceeding the requirements set by the N.C. Board of Pharmacy and The Joint Commission.

- A deep knowledge of medication procurement and management, alongside budgetary principles.

- A problem-solving mindset with exceptional communication skills to engage and inspire your team and colleagues.
