Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Financial Controllers with strong backgrounds in accounting and financial leadership within growth-oriented organizations. Candidates should have proven experience overseeing full-cycle accounting operations while strengthening financial controls. The ideal candidate is proactive and solutions-focused, with a strong interest in contributing to opportunities across the New Brunswick region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support informed business decisions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive operational efficiency and profitability
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and professional development
  • Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and key stakeholders
Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation 
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or Controller-level role
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Proven leadership experience, complemented by a charismatic, positive, and engaging leadership style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with senior leadership
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, approachable, and solutions-oriented
