We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic client based in Corner Brook, NL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reporting, corporate accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting internal control processes.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Prepare and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with interim and annual audit processes, including year-end external audits
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
• Maintain and improve financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards
• Support the development and implementation of accounting best practices
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and recommendations

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Chartered Professional Designation (CPA)
• Minimum of five years’ relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage and drive financial performance and business growth
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Professional and adaptable communication skills, with the ability to work a variety of staff members and partners
