Job Description

We’re seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Payable Administrator to join our established and continually growing client in the Truro, Nova Scotia area. This is a permanent part-time opportunity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable process within a project-based environment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Process accounts payable, including monitoring a centralized inbox, processing invoices, making payments, and onboarding new vendors
  • Collect invoices and track expenditures for reporting
  • Receive and process purchase order requests
  • Manage small purchases and best pricing negotiation
  • Assist with project and contract related reporting
  • Support the accounting team with ad hoc and other activities, as needed

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent training/experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounts payable experience
  • Previous experience in a project-based accounting environment is a definite asset
  • Proficiency with Sage50 software and MS Office Suite
  • Committed work ethic and team player approach
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a positive attitude
