An established and growing business services firm in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a dedicated Accounting & Tax Advisor to join their dynamic team. This permanent role supports a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will provide full-cycle bookkeeping services with a strong emphasis on tax solutions, focusing on developing lasting client relationships through customized and strategic tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Deliver exceptional full cycle accounting
• Provide exceptional tax advice to clients
• Prepare and finalize year-end accounting
• Prepare and file basic corporate tax returns for year-end
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
• Identify client needs and connect them with other domain experts within the company
• Participate in community events to build relationships and increase visibility

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Previous experience with corporate tax preparation is required
• Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software (preferably Taxprep and Xero)
• Proven, hands-on experience preparing tax returns for a variety of versatile small businesses, ideally within an accounting firm
• Superior client service skills with a willingness to participate in networking and community events to foster business growth and client relations
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
