Join a leading manufacturing company in Sackville, NS as Controller, where you’ll take charge of full-cycle accounting operations in a hands-on and results-driven role. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and is eager to contribute strategic financial leadership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and corporate policies
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Provide accurate and timely reporting to the international head office
• Support audits and tax filings, coordinating with external auditors and tax authorities
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial controls
• Lead and mentor accounting team as needed (no direct reports)

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
• CPA designation is an asset but not required
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage50 and Microsoft Excel
• Dedicated communication skills with an adaptable and professional approach
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
