Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Controller to manage full-cycle accounting operations for our clients' Dartmouth, NS office. Reporting to the international head office, this role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys both strategic oversight and day-to-day accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and corporate policies
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Provide accurate and timely reporting to the international head office
• Support audits and tax filings, coordinating with external auditors and tax authorities
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial controls
• Lead and mentor accounting team

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and leadership responsibilities 
• CPA designation is an asset but not required
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the global finance team
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
