A dynamic CPA firm located in Lr. Sackville, NS is looking to welcome a Senior Accountant to their expanding team. This full-time, permanent position offers the chance to work on a variety of engagements with small to mid-sized owner-managed businesses across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Year-end file preparation
  • Corporate and personal tax return preparation
  • Client bookkeeping and HST filing
  • Client relationship management and business development
  • General business and accounting advisory
  • Other duties as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • CPA designation or near completion required
  • Experience with owner-managed business clients
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a firm environment
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience in the preparation of year-end compilations
  • Proficiency in Caseware, Profile, and/or MS Office Suite are considered a definite asset
  • Dedicated work ethic with a client-focused approach and eagerness to grow and learn
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in dynamic environment 
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

The standard work week (although flexible) would be Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30, with the exception of February- April 8:30-5:00 and a 4 day work week in July & August (Fridays off). The office also closes between Christmas and New Years (paid time off) and offers free parking!
