Job Description:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
Track and reconcile project/job costs related to environmental field work, remediation projects, and service contracts
Support billing processes, including time & materials, fixed-price, and project-based invoicing
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor and subcontractor payments
Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
Support Controller during financial statement audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and regulatory support materials
Collaborate with operations and field leadership to ensure accurate financial information is being entered into the ERP system
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analyses
Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable environmental and financial regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience,
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Experience using an accounting based ERP system is a plus
