Job Description:
We're seeking a Legal Assistant to join a collaborative Mass Tort team supporting complex product liability and personal injury litigation. This is a fast paced, high volume role where you'll work closely with a Lead Paralegal, attorneys, and fellow legal assistants to help move cases efficiently through the litigation process.
What You'll Do:
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and collect required documentation.
Order, review, and organize medical records and other case-related documents.
Maintain accurate case files and update information within the firm's case management system.
Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, medical providers, and internal team members to keep cases progressing.
Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing binders, and other litigation support tasks as needed.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and exceptional client service in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of legal assistant, case management, legal intake, or related legal support experience preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong transferable legal experience are encouraged to apply.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with case management software is a plus.
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn in a collaborative team environment.
