Our client is seeking a Sr. Tax Manager to be the tax lead for a high-growth, publicly traded $1B rev company. This newly created role will serve as the primary point of contact with the company’s outsourced tax provider, managing the global provision, federal/state compliance, and supporting international tax matters. You will regularly interact with the C-Suite, review deliverables from the provider, ensure accuracy, and play a key role in future decisions around insourcing tax functions and potentially building a team.
Job duties:
• Oversee ASC 740 tax provision and compliance (federal, state, foreign).
• Review work from external provider (currently Big 4).
• Support audits, R&D credit, transfer pricing, and other specialty areas.
• Forecast cash tax and provide planning insights.
• Collaborate across Finance, Accounting, and business teams.
• Help shape the tax function and recommend in-house vs. outsourced strategy.
What We’re Looking For:
• CPA required.
• 7–11 years of experience (Big 4 or mix of public + large public co.).
• Strong ASC 740 and compliance background.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with executives.
• Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-growth, people-focused culture.
