Job Description:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial reporting, maintaining general ledger integrity, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze financial data, prepare accurate financial statements, and support process improvements. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries, income statements, balance sheet statements, and account reconciliations.
• Conducting monthly variance analyses to identify trends and provide insights to management.
• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP.
• Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Assisting with annual external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit requests.
• Collaborating with finance and non-finance teams to implement process improvements and automation.
• Maintaining the integrity of general ledger transactions and financial records.
• Assisting in the administration and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.
• Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reports to support decision-making.
• Communicating and escalating financial issues and insights to the Controller.
• Supporting ERP system processes and helping transition financial reporting to the accounting team.
• Maintaining consistent in-office attendance as an essential function of the role.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems.

Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and advanced functions).
• Strong ability to analyze general ledger data and prepare accurate financial reports.
• Experience managing consolidations for multi-location divisions with different financial systems.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and provide innovative solutions for improving efficiency.
• Commitment to maintaining consistent attendance and in-office collaboration.
