Campaign Overview

Zenith Energy is seeking an experienced Drilling Engineer to join our Brisbane-based team, supporting a range of onshore and offshore well delivery projects.

This role will contribute across well design and well operations engineering scopes, providing technically robust, commercially sound solutions to our client base. The position is suited to a drilling professional comfortable working across multiple projects, engaging directly with clients, and supporting well delivery from planning through execution support.

Essential Experience

• Demonstrated experience in well design engineering

• Proven background in well operations engineering support

• Strong working knowledge of drilling engineering principles and industry standards

• Experience preparing drilling programmes and associated documentation

• Ability to provide operational troubleshooting and technical guidance

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Willingness to travel to wellsites as required

Advantageous Experience

• Experience operating in consultancy or multi-client environments

• Exposure to wellsite leadership roles (e.g. DSV)

• Commercial awareness and ability to identify service opportunities

• Broader well delivery exposure supporting progression toward Senior Drilling Engineer or Superintendent-level roles

Responsibilities

Planning Phase

• Develop and review drilling programmes

• Prepare well design documentation in accordance with Zenith procedures, regulatory and industry requirements

• Conduct offset well analysis and risk identification

• Support cost estimation and performance optimisation initiatives

Operational Support

• Provide technical input during well execution

• Support troubleshooting and operational decision-making

• Interface with client representatives and offshore teams

• Participate in wellsite assignments where required

Commercial & Growth Contribution

• Maintain strong client engagement

• Identify opportunities to support additional scopes of work

• Contribute to Zenith Energy’s continued growth through technical excellence and market awareness
