Millwright – Afternoon Shift

Location: Kitchener, ON

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent 

Compensation: $42.70/hour

Schedule: Fixed Afternoon Shift: 2:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. | No rotation

Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is currently hiring Millwrights for one of our clients located in Kitchener, ON.

About the Role

We are recruiting for full-time Millwright positions on fixed afternoon shifts. This is an unionized position offering $42.70/hour. Fourth Year Apprentices are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and related plant equipment.
• Maintain, repair, install, assemble, disassemble, and modify mechanical equipment using engineering drawings, field sketches, related documents, and verbal instructions.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment problems and perform root cause analysis.
• Complete maintenance records and reports and update drawings and documentation as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work safely and follow all plant safety regulations and guidelines.
• Work at heights up to 40 feet using scissor lifts and ladders.
• Use machining and maintenance equipment including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and hand tools.
• Perform welding as required, including MIG/TIG welding.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid 433A Industrial Millwright licence; Fourth Year Apprentices are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others.
• Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role.
• Experience working in a food-related environment in a maintenance capacity is an asset.
• Five years of maintenance experience is an asset.
• Experience with welding and machining is an asset.
