309A Electrician (Afternoon Shift)
Location: Waterloo, ON
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: Starting at $42.76/hour (including shift premium)
Schedule: Straight Afternoon Shift – 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is currently hiring a licensed Electrician for one of our manufacturing clients located in Waterloo, ON. About the Role This opportunity is ideal for an experienced industrial electrician looking for a long-term position in a stable manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will support production equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, complete preventative maintenance, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the facility. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative maintenance team supporting food production and packaging operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete scheduled PM work orders
• Support power distribution, lighting, motor overloads, and equipment servicing
• Assist with equipment overhauls and maintenance projects
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability
• Work collaboratively with other trades and maintenance team members
• Maintain safe and clean work areas in accordance with company policies and legislation
• Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, and health & safety procedures
• Report food safety or safety concerns as required
• Assist with building maintenance and other related duties as needed

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid 309A Electrician Certificate of Qualification required
• Proof of apprenticeship completion required
• 2–5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience considered an asset
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and production equipment
• Refrigeration operator experience considered an asset
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on afternoon shift
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
