Shipping & Warehouse Associate

Location: Brampton, ON (Airport Rd & Steeles Ave)
Job Type: Temporary with potential to grow into a permanent opportunity
Compensation: $24.00/hour
Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is currently hiring a Shipping & Warehouse Associate for one of our clients located in Brampton.

About the Role

This is a hands-on opportunity with a growing warehouse team operating in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Employees are expected to support multiple areas of the operation, including both shipping office functions and general warehouse support.

Training for this position begins within the warehouse operation, including order picking and hands-on support functions, before progressing into shipping office and dispatch-related responsibilities. Candidates must be comfortable working in a physically active warehouse environment and learning multiple areas of the operation as part of the onboarding process.

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within logistics, shipping, and warehouse operations over time. Successful candidates will gradually be trained on shipping software, freight coordination, dispatch support, and internal communication processes as they develop within the role.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable supporting both warehouse and office operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation
• Log and track incoming/outgoing freight using internal systems/applications
• Support dispatch-related tasks including shipment coordination
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams
• Assist with inventory tracking and shipment verification
• Load and unload trailers using forklift or electric walkie (as needed)
• Locate and organize stock within the warehouse
• Perform order picking and support warehouse operations during the training period
• Assist loaders, pickers, and other team members as required
• Support general warehouse operations when needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or dispatch support
• Experience generating Bills of Lading (BOLs) and handling shipping documentation is an asset
• Comfortable using computer systems, apps, or Microsoft Office
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Comfortable working primarily within warehouse operations during the initial training period, with gradual progression into shipping office and dispatch support functions
• Experience operating a Crown dock stocker or similar material handling equipment is an asset
• Forklift experience is an asset (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong team player with a “jump in where needed” mindset
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
