Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Architectural Leader specializing in healthcare projects. This role is for an experienced professional passionate about designing healthcare environments that improve patient outcomes. You will lead large-scale projects (80,000 – 800,000 sq. ft.), working with teams across North America in an integrated design practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major healthcare projects across the full care continuum, including acute care, outpatient care, behavioural health, senior living, cancer treatment, and academic medical centers.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to develop innovative, sustainable, and high-performing healthcare environments.
• Drive business growth by nurturing client relationships, developing new opportunities, and representing healthcare design excellence.
• Engage in project delivery with a focus on integrated project delivery (IPD), alternative project delivery (APD), and modular design approaches.
• Represent the firm as a thought leader at industry events, professional networks, and conferences.
• Mentor and develop the next generation of healthcare designers and technical leaders.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in architecture, with a strong focus on healthcare design.
• Expertise in functional programming, site selection, core and shell, fit-out, and interior design for healthcare facilities.
• Experience with business development, client relationship management, and revenue growth in healthcare design.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams across multiple disciplines and project scales.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present at industry events.
• Licensed Architect preferred; LEED AP credential is a plus.
