Job Description

• Strong proficiency in Node.js — production REST or GraphQL APIs, event loop, async patterns, and performance characteristics
• Solid command of TypeScript and/or modern JavaScript (ES2020+) — generics, type narrowing, module systems, and ecosystem tooling
• Experience with web frameworks such as Express, Fastify, or NestJS
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases — PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Redis — and data modeling
• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure — containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills
• Hands-on experience building location-aware or geo-contextual features — proximity-based recommendations, or geofencing
• Familiarity with geolocation APIs — browser Geolocation API, IP-to-location services, Google Maps Platform, HERE, or Mapbox
• Understanding of proximity services and spatial queries — PostGIS, MongoDB geospatial, or Elasticsearch geo filters
• Experience handling location data challenges — accuracy vs. privacy trade-offs, fallback strategies, and localized content delivery
• Ability to reason across the full technology stack — from client rendering and API contracts through backend services to infrastructure and deployment
• Experience designing systems with clear separation of concerns across BFF, microservices, and shared platform layers
• Comfort with CDN, edge caching, and request routing concepts and how they affect real-world application behavior
• Ability to contribute to architecture design reviews — evaluating tradeoffs in scalability, resilience, consistency, and cost
• Experience with observability and production telemetry — dashboards, SLOs, metrics, and distributed tracing
