Position: Technical Program Manager

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Onsite.

Summary

Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that power large-scale customer experiences and enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate has extensive experience delivering cloud-native, data-driven, and AI-enabled products while partnering with engineering, product, architecture, and business stakeholders to execute strategic programs from concept through production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of large-scale technology programs across engineering, product management, architecture, data science, and business teams.
  • Define program strategy, technical roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and delivery plans for highly complex initiatives.
  • Drive architecture discussions and collaborate with engineering leaders to build scalable, resilient, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure predictable delivery across globally distributed teams.
  • Partner with Product Managers to prioritize features, define execution plans, and align engineering deliverables with business objectives.
  • Lead Agile/SAFe planning, quarterly roadmaps, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release management.
  • Establish governance models, executive reporting, KPIs, and program metrics to ensure successful execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams spanning Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, Security, Infrastructure, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.
  • Drive cloud modernization, platform migrations, data engineering initiatives, and enterprise digital transformation programs.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate program status, risks, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery while balancing scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Software Engineering, or Engineering Leadership.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale technology programs valued at $10M+.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience managing multiple engineering teams across global locations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Experience driving large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to influence engineering and product leadership without direct authority.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Payments, FinTech, Retail, Marketplace, or eCommerce platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of GCP, AWS, Databricks, and modern data platforms.
  • Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, and data engineering initiatives.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection, customer analytics, and recommendation platforms.
  • Experience leading cloud migration and platform modernization programs.
  • PMP, CSM, or SAFe certifications are a plus.
