iOS Developer – Walmart

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid/Onsite)

Job Summary:

iOS Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance native iOS applications that deliver exceptional shopping experiences to millions of customers. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Swift, modern iOS frameworks, and mobile architecture, with a passion for building intuitive, reliable, and secure mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Build scalable and maintainable applications following MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
  • Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using SwiftUI and UIKit.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party SDKs.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Optimize application performance, memory management, startup time, and battery efficiency.
  • Write unit tests and UI tests to ensure code quality and application stability.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance and reliability improvements.
  • Follow secure coding practices and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and release management.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and App Store release processes.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in native iOS application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift and experience with Objective-C.
  • Hands-on experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, and the iOS SDK.
  • Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Combine, Swift Concurrency (async/await), and Grand Central Dispatch (GCD).
  • Experience integrating REST APIs, GraphQL, and JSON-based services.
  • Knowledge of Core Data, SQLite, or other local persistence frameworks.
  • Experience with APNs, push notifications, deep linking, and universal links.
  • Strong knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
  • Experience with unit testing using XCTest and UI automation using XCUITest.
  • Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GraphQL (Apollo iOS).
  • Experience with Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging).
  • Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or React Native.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, or Fastlane.
  • Experience working on enterprise-scale applications serving millions of users.
  • Knowledge of mobile security, accessibility (WCAG), and App Store deployment best practices.
