Process Technician (2nd Shift)

Position Overview

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled and proactive 2nd Shift Process Technician to join their technical team. In this role, you will serve as the first line of response for troubleshooting automated equipment and addressing product quality issues on the production floor. The ideal candidate possesses a strong diagnostic mindset, experience with automated production machinery, and the ability to solve problems quickly to keep production moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving product defects (such as wrinkles, stains, or creases) during production runs.
• Respond to equipment downages and machine faults, performing initial technical troubleshooting on equipment like robots, conveyors, and ovens.
• Diagnose basic technical and electrical issues (e.g., fuses or machine faults) prior to escalating complex controls or electrical problems to maintenance.
• Apply critical thinking and structured problem-solving to maintain smooth automated operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize line efficiency and product quality.

Required Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on troubleshooting responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience working with automated manufacturing machinery (such as robotics, conveyors, ovens, or automated assembly lines).
• Strong root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and diagnostic capabilities.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Prior experience as a Process Technician, Technical Operator, or Engineering Associate.
