Program Manager - Engineering
Location: Bowling Green, KY

Position Overview

A premier automotive manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, KY is seeking an Engineering Program Manager. Serving as the direct link between automotive customers and internal engineering, tooling, and commercial teams, this position ensures program profitability, timing, and successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for automotive OEM customers regarding program status and launch deliverables.
• Manage program budgets, capital expenditures, piece price, and overall project profitability.
• Lead cross-functional teams through APQP, PPAP, and FMEA frameworks from development through production.
• Monitor prototype builds, tooling timelines, and design control procedures.
• Utilize project tracking tools like traX or Microsoft Project to manage project milestones.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of program or project management experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with automotive launch and quality tools, including APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
• Experience managing program finances, budgets, piece-price metrics, and project timelines.
• Experience using project tracking or scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or similar systems.
• Proven customer-facing experience, preferably working directly with automotive OEM accounts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a technical field.
• Background in automotive metal stamping, structural assembly, or related manufacturing operations.
• Experience coordinating tooling, suppliers, engineering changes, or new product launches.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
