Controls Technician | 2nd Shift
Location: Bowling Green, KY

Position Overview

A leading manufacturing organization in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Controls Technician to support its press department. This position plays a critical role in troubleshooting and maintaining controls systems, supporting equipment reliability, and responding quickly to controls and electrical issues to minimize production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on press shop and production equipment.

• Troubleshoot and modify Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/GuardLogix PLC programs and FactoryTalk HMI projects.

• Troubleshoot industrial networks, automated equipment, and robotics.

• Assist with new equipment installations and modifications to existing equipment.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components as they relate to production equipment.

• Collaborate with Controls Engineering and multi-craft maintenance teams to identify and resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.

Required Qualifications

• Proven controls/electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs and electrical systems.

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and use testing/troubleshooting equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/GuardLogix and FactoryTalk.

• Experience troubleshooting industrial networks, robotics, or automated production equipment.

• Experience with Beckhoff/TwinCAT, DeviceNet, ControlNet, PROFIBUS, or Pilz.

• Background in heavy industrial or automotive manufacturing.
