Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift)
Location: Kentwood, MI

Position Overview
A leading food manufacturing organization is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead its second-shift maintenance operations across a high-volume manufacturing facility operating 12 production lines. This position oversees a dedicated team of approximately 15 technicians and leads, ensuring smooth daily operations, workflow management, and technical support. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, electrical troubleshooting expertise, and a commitment to maintaining safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and oversee 2nd-shift maintenance technicians and team leads.
• Manage daily maintenance workflows, shift scheduling, staffing, and team coverage.
• Perform leadership duties including performance evaluations and addressing HR-related issues.
• Ensure production continuity through hands-on assistance and electrical troubleshooting up to 480V.
• Enforce 5S methodology, safety protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all lines.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues and maintain plant output.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing, scheduling, and evaluating maintenance staff.
• Strong technical background in electrical troubleshooting up to 480V systems.
• Solid understanding of safety compliance, 5S principles, and standard manufacturing practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Availability to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and an alternating weekend schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance leadership background within a food manufacturing facility.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics.
