Maintenance Mechanic - All Shifts!
Location: Independence, KS

Position Overview
A leading manufacturing organization in Independence, KS is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join its plant operations. This role is heavily focused on hands-on industrial troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical diagnostics, and maintaining key production machinery. The ideal candidate brings strong root-cause troubleshooting abilities, experience with PLCs and hydraulics, and a track record of stability in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on high-volume manufacturing and fabrication equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, hydraulic system failures, and PLC faults to keep production running efficiently.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on equipment failures to prevent recurring operational issues.
• Work closely with production personnel to address machinery breakdowns under time-sensitive constraints.
• Support machine maintenance during scheduled plant downtime, including annual holiday shutdown periods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with facility safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in hands-on industrial maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge and diagnostic experience with PLCs.
• Strong problem-solving skills focused on identifying true root causes.
• Excellent employment longevity and stable work history.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining Trumpf laser systems or Cincinnati press brakes.
• Background in sheet metal fabrication or heavy industrial equipment repair.
