Lead Web Press Operator
Battle Creek, MI

Position Overview:

A leading commercial printing organization is seeking an experienced Lead Web Pressman to oversee press operations, maintain high-quality standards, and drive daily production. This role is responsible for executing web press projects according to strict job specifications, managing machine setups, and maintaining equipment for optimal output in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Operate web press equipment, including folders, stackers, and roll stands, according to job tickets and work orders.
• Coordinate workload schedules with the production team to meet tight customer deadlines and quality targets.
• Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on press machinery and update technical logs.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of essential press supplies and notify supervisors of equipment needs.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, SDS chemical guidelines, and food safety standards (AIB).

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a 40” web press.
• Strong mechanical aptitudes and mathematical skills for machine setup and troubleshooting.
• Background in ink mixing and color matching

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience operating Baker-Perkins or Hantscho presses.
• AIB familiarity
