Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location Holland, MI

Position Overview
A leading automotive manufacturing organization is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join their team on 2nd or 3rd shift in Holland, MI. This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and independently troubleshooting automated industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on maintenance capabilities, PLC and electrical controls expertise, and a solid background in preventative maintenance and advanced equipment diagnostics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex automated manufacturing machinery.
  • Perform routine and emergency preventative maintenance (PMs) on production equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, electrical controls, robot controllers, and vision systems.
  • Support tooling changes and strictly adhere to all facility safety and Lockout/Tagout protocols.
  • Participate in problem-solving teams, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Support diverse manufacturing operations, including thermal forming, molding, adhesive applications, Isocyanate foam, high-pressure water systems, and assembly processes.
  • Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), aerial lifts, and cranes as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience working directly as an Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in PLC systems, electrical controls, and independent automated equipment troubleshooting.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background.
  • Proficiency using basic machining tools, powered hand tools, and maintenance diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, along with mandatory overtime during weekdays and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial robotics and robot controllers.
  • Experience troubleshooting smart vision cameras (e.g., Keyence, Cognex, Banner).
  • Prior experience working within a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) structure.
  • Fabrication, welding, and advanced tooling repair experience.
