Structural Ironworker
Location: Holland, MI

Position Overview:
Our client is a commercial steel fabrication and installation company seeking experienced Structural Ironworkers to support commercial construction projects throughout the Holland and Grand Rapids, MI areas. This hands-on field position is responsible for erecting and installing structural steel components while working safely at active construction sites. The role plays an important part in delivering quality steel structures by following project drawings, operating safely at heights, and collaborating with field crews throughout the installation process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install and secure structural steel beams, columns, girders, trusses, bar joists, and metal decking.
• Read and interpret structural drawings and shop drawings to complete installations accurately.
• Assist with rigging operations and safely guide steel during crane lifts.
• Bolt, align, and weld structural steel components in the field.
• Verify proper alignment using measuring tools and layout methods.
• Operate power tools and installation equipment safely.
• Follow all job site safety procedures while working at elevated heights.
• Work closely with field crews to complete commercial steel erection projects.

Key Qualifications:
• Previous structural steel or ironworker experience or relatable construction experience.
• Welding experience required.
• Ability to work safely at heights while using fall protection equipment.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Experience using power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, or construction layouts strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow construction drawings and directions.
