Facilities Maintenance Technician
Location: Nunica, MI 
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Position Overview: Our client operates a large, stable facility within the nursery, horticulture, and green infrastructure industry. This is a unique, hands-on facilities maintenance role rather than a traditional manufacturing or specialized industrial maintenance position. We are seeking a practical "jack of all trades" who enjoys variety, troubleshooting, and outdoor work. The ideal candidate is someone looking for a stable, long-term career home where they can take ownership of general repairs and facility support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on general facilities maintenance and repairs across greenhouses, grounds, and facility buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of facility equipment, including irrigation systems, plumbing, furnaces, golf carts, and storage racks.
• Conduct routine property maintenance, grounds upkeep, and basic equipment repair.
• Participate in a required on-call rotation to support facility needs (historically low call volume).
• Respond flexibly to seasonal demands, including extended daylight hours during peak spring and summer seasons.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical inclination with practical, hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Comfortable working routinely in outdoor environments and weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
• Proven interest in a general facilities maintenance career rather than a specialized skilled trade.
• Must pass pre-employment screening requirements, including a background check and a drug screen (THC accepted).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in property maintenance, apartment maintenance, or handyman work.
• Experience in maintaining agricultural, greenhouse, nursery, campground, or recreational facilities.
• Demonstrated history of career stability and longevity in prior roles.
