Maintenance Supervisor | 3rd Shift
Location: Battle Creek, Michigan 


Position Overview
A growing automotive manufacturing organization is seeking a passionate, forward-thinking Maintenance Supervisor to join our innovative team. This role focuses on driving industry-leading production, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will oversee the maintenance staff, champion plant safety, and optimize preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of all equipment by auditing machinery for proper guarding, good working conditions, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) compliance.
• Train, develop, and mentor new and existing maintenance staff on standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Develop, manage, and execute the plant’s preventative maintenance program to ensure schedules are completed efficiently and timely.
• Submit purchase orders for supplies, tools, equipment, and repair parts; manage purchased inventory and submit capital expense requests when necessary.
• Present and implement continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime, increasing efficiency, and elevating safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience, including direct supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong emphasis on state and local safety regulations, safety compliance, and safety training.
• Proven attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to operate with a high sense of urgency within constantly changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience within an automotive manufacturing or Tier-1 supplier environment.
