Position Overview: A manufacturing organization is seeking a thorough and professional Maintenance Technician to preserve the condition and functionality of machinery and premises. This role requires a practical-minded individual with strong attention to detail who can work autonomously while strictly observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain buildings and equipment to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Execute basic maintenance functions through a preventative maintenance system, including oil changes, filter replacement, and equipment greasing.
• Assist in the setup of new machinery and conduct manual repairs on facilities and equipment as necessary.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure continuous functionality.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures such as painting, carpentry, and light plumbing.

Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a maintenance technician.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with electrical systems.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with hydraulics.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and overtime as needed.
• Own set of standard tools and toolbox to perform maintenance responsibilities. Large and specialty tools provided by the company. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with mechanical systems (1+ years).
• Ability to read schematics.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Certification in hi-lo, overhead crane, and/or scissor lift operation.
