Job Title Process Technician (VSLA)
Location Sturgis, MI
Shift: 2nd OR 3rd 

Position Overview A leading manufacturing organization in the plastic injection molding industry is seeking a Process Technician to join its production team. This role is responsible for performing standard injection molding setup functions, including mold changes, program downloads, and machine optimization. The ideal candidate will be the primary lead for ensuring dimensional quality and resolving process issues on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform startup and processing of new jobs according to established procedures.
• Execute mold changes and assist with insert changes as required.
• Identify cosmetic and dimensional defects and adjust the molding process to eliminate them.
• Solve process, mold, and material problems while optimizing machine cycles to meet standard requirements.
• Provide detailed documentation on process parameters and maintain an organized work area.
• Act as a back-up to leadership in the event of absences and assist in training staff on process functions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in plastic injection molding.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mold setting and processing.
• Proven ability to measure parts for dimensional conformance using metrology tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with scientific molding technologies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, and standing for long periods.
