Job Description

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a thorough and professional Maintenance Technician to ensure the continued functionality and safety of their machinery and premises. The goal is to maintain a productive manufacturing environment by overseeing the upkeep of buildings, common areas, and specialized equipment. The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who can work autonomously while strictly adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Execute preventive maintenance work orders, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and equipment lubrication.
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical, heating, and plumbing systems to ensure they meet safety standards.
• Assist in the setup of new machinery and conduct manual repairs on facilities when necessary.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures, including painting, carpentry, and light plumbing.
• Follow lean and 5S principles within the manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician within the plastics injection industry.
• At least 1 year of experience with electrical systems.
• At least 1 year of experience with hydraulics.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of common tools, appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work an overnight shift and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Experience or certification in operating hi-los, overhead cranes, or scissor lifts.
