Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in managing financial activities. This position ensures the accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulations while providing insightful analysis to support business processes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial data loading and journal entry preparation.
Oversee general ledger maintenance, trial balance reviews, and the preparation of monthly financial binders.
Manage inventory accounting processes, including costing, cycle counts, and standard vs. actual cost reviews.
Conduct shop-floor verifications to ensure the accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of annual financial models.
Track and report on capital and tooling projects in accordance with corporate guidelines.
Support the implementation and monitoring of cost reduction programs.
Ensure all financial records and statements remain in compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP compliance and financial/variance analysis.
Proven experience with reconciliation, auditing, and budgeting/forecasting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with OneStream or high-level financial consolidation software.
