Job Title: Paint Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Paint Technician to apply coatings using industrial sprayers in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with sprayers and respirators and be capable of performing basic machine setups. The role involves ensuring high-quality paint application, following technical specifications, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Clean grease, dirt, and other contaminants from products.
  • Select the appropriate paint color based on customer specifications.
  • Pour coating liquids into spray containers and connect the spray gun to the air hose.
  • Adjust sprayer valves and nozzles to regulate spray width and pressure.
  • Pull the trigger and direct the spray onto the work surface to apply primer or finish coats.
  • Clean spray equipment and brushes using solvents.
  • Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
  • Adhere to prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• • Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
  • Regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.

Preemployment Requirements:

• Drug screen and physical exam

Qualifications:

• • Must have prior experience using a sprayer and wearing a respirator in a manufacturing environment. Residential painting experience is not considered transferable.
  • Transferable manufacturing experience (e.g., foam spraying) is acceptable; however, residential brush painting experience is insufficient for this role.
