Job Title: Bobst Folder-Gluer Operator (Carton/Package Production)

1^st or 2^nd shift – Battle Creek, MI

 Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Bobst Folder-Gluer Operator to set up and operate folder-gluer equipment for efficient, high-quality carton and package production. This role is key in a high-volume manufacturing environment to ensure structural accuracy, adhesive integrity, and throughput consistency while minimizing waste and defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Bobst folder-gluer machinery, including rails, carriers, belts, compression sections, feeders, and delivery systems.
• Manage glue systems (hot-melt and/or cold glue), including pattern control, temperature/viscosity monitoring, and cleaning.
• Maintain register, square folds, quality of creases, and adhesion; make adjustments for board characteristics and environmental conditions.
• Inspect output to specification (dimensions, glue integrity, and cosmetic quality) and maintain accurate in-process documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues such as jams, tracking errors, squareness problems, and glue/adhesion defects.
• Coordinate changeovers and workflow with upstream and downstream teams to maintain consistent throughput.

Required Skills and Experience

• Prior folder-gluer operating and setup experience; Bobst experience strongly preferred.
• Comfortable reading carton specs/dielines and translating them into quality production setup.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, process discipline, and adherence to quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience training helpers/feeder packers and leading changeovers.
• Familiarity with production documentation and quality tracking.
