Job Description

This company is a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems for the automotive, transportation, and appliance industries, is hiring a Quality Manager to join its Manufacturing Leadership team. This is a customer-facing role operating in a fast-paced, technology-driven manufacturing environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary quality interface for customers, leading communication, issue resolution, and follow-up on quality concerns.
• Investigate and resolve internal and external product and process issues using formal problem-solving tools; analyze supplier performance and recommend improvements.
• Champion continuous improvement by researching, implementing, and administering quality assurance processes and best practices.
• Develop, review, and approve internal control plans by evaluating process flowcharts, FMEAs, and blueprints, with a strong focus on waste elimination.
• Lead plant quality system efforts including QS-9000, TS-16949 / IATF 16949, and standardization of GHSP quality systems; manage internal and external PPAPs.
• Plan, support, and implement total quality programs, including quality control policies, sampling systems, testing mechanisms, and hands-on support of plant-floor quality operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is strongly preferred. o Candidates without a degree will be considered if they bring 7–10+ years of extensive experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. o Experience must be within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 on the supplier side, with direct customer-facing responsibility.
• Deep working knowledge of TS16949 / IATF16949, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, metrology, blueprint reading, and project management.
