Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems and equipment to support reliable and efficient plant operations. This role involves diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, installing and maintaining components, and performing testing and adjustments to ensure equipment meets performance and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Install, wire, and maintain electrical components including switchgear, relays, breakers, PLCs, and instrumentation.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.

  • Perform electrical testing, adjustments, and calibrations to maintain equipment performance.

  • Identify and replace faulty components; recommend modifications or repairs as needed.

  • Use multimeters, volt/ohm meters, Hi-pot testers, hand tools, and other equipment as required.

  • Document maintenance activities and ensure repairs meet quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in industrial electrical maintenance or electrical technician work.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, controls, and equipment.

  • Proficiency in reading schematics, diagrams, and electrical documentation.

  • Experience working with electrical tools and testing equipment (multimeters, VOMs, Hi-pot, hand tools, etc.).

  • Understanding of basic mechanical systems is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and follow written or verbal instructions.

  • Reliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift as scheduled.
