Job Title: Maintenance & Refrigeration Technician

Qualifications: "Maintenance Technicians"

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems (up to 480V)
• Replacing and rebuilding motors, seals, bearings, cylinders, valves, and pumps
• Maintaining conveyor systems, vacuum pumps, and packaging equipment
• Recording all maintenance activities in CMMS (SAP experience preferred)
• Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications: "Ammonia Refrigeration Technicians"

• Operating and maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and IIAR standards
• Performing compressor, pump, and valve maintenance and rebuilds
• Conducting system calibrations, inspections, and maintaining PSM documentation
• Executing ammonia evacuations, pump outs, and system startups/shutdowns
• Troubleshooting electrical and control systems tied to refrigeration operations
• Training utility technicians and ensuring all CMMS documentation is accurate and current

Education

• A high school diploma, an Associate's degree, or equivalent certifications in the Refrigeration/Mechanical field are preferred.
• IIAR Ammonia Refrigeration training preferred.
• RETA/CIRO/CARO – Operator's License Preferred.
• EPA TYPE Universal License Preferred.
• Boiler Operator License Preferred.

Salary and Benefits

• The 5:00 pm to 5:00 am shift offers a $1.00 shift premium.
• Up to $5,000.00 sign-on bonus.

Job Description Overview

• This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC systems, hot water, compressed air, fire protection, and steam systems.
• The team member will need to be proficient and able to perform duties within the rules and regulations of OSHA.
