Job Description:

We are seeking a Design Engineer for our client in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CNC manufacturing. This position requires a deep understanding of GD&T and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for Hydraulic Power Units using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Implement GD&T standards to ensure precision and quality in design.
• Utilize CNC manufacturing knowledge to optimize designs for production.
• Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications to meet project requirements.
• Support the manufacturing team in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 2-3 years experience. (Bachelors degree is required for advancement)
• Proven experience in drafting and design, with expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Ability to interpret and develop hydraulic schematics.
• Strong knowledge of CNC manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in GD&T and its application in design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
