Manufacturing Engineer – Welding/Automation
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with strong experience in welding processes and automation systems. This role will focus on process improvements, PLC control systems, and robotic programming within an industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical knowledge, quality systems expertise, and leadership capabilities.
Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes focused on welding applications.
Support PLC control systems and troubleshoot process issues.
Work with AutoCAD and CAD viewer programs for layouts, tooling, and process design.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with PPAP, APQP, GD&T, and other industry standards.
Support fixture development, measuring instrument use, and mechanical testing.
Program and maintain robotic welding systems (Fanuc experience is a strong asset).
Apply AWS and RWMA standards to ensure process compliance and quality.
Analyze data and apply advanced math skills to support cost and process improvements.
Provide technical leadership and collaborate across departments.
5+ years’ experience with processing and PLC control systems in a welding process environment, preferably in an industrial automotive setting.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and CAD viewer programs.
Familiar with APQP, PPAP, blueprint reading, GD&T, and quality practices.
Knowledge of AWS and RWMA standards.
Experience in robotic programming for welding processes (Fanuc preferred).
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Leadership ability is highly desirable.
