Job Overview:

Responsible for working in a team environment on projects to develop and maintain various types of manufacturing tools and fixtures. The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for utilizing various types of software and machining equipment to design and fabricate tools and fixtures. The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for maintaining and repairing existing tools and fixtures, and completing other responsibilities as directed by their direct supervisor.

.Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with engineering and shop teams to resolve design issues related to materials, tolerances, and manufacturing.
• Develops tool configurations using algebraic formulas and tool engineering data.
• Designs tools and prepares layouts using AutoCAD and Creo.
• Modifies tool designs based on production data.
• Operates machine tools and verifies parts meet specifications.
• Understands basic CNC machine concepts.
• Installs electrical and hydraulic components.
• Recommends modifications to dies, tools, and fixtures.
• Creates specifications and sketches for specialty tools.
• Follows company policies and quality/environment standards (e.g., IATF, ISO 14001).
