Job Title: Ecoat Paint Engineer (Automotive Launch)
**Eligible for relocation assistance**
Overview:
Join a global automotive supplier by leading the installation and operational launch of a new E-Coat paint line. As an E-Coat Paint Engineer, you’ll be responsible for implementing the line, ensuring process quality, and optimizing equipment performance. This position includes relocation assistance and is ideal for those with deep paint chemistry and automotive process experience.
Responsibilities:
Lead installation and commissioning of a new Ecoat paint line
Manage project scope, cost, schedule, and milestone tracking
Plan and supervise maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts
Define equipment performance requirements and create process documentation
Collect and analyze process and production data to optimize quality, yield, and throughput
Provide hands‑on floor support, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement
Develop and maintain manufacturing processes aligned with cost, quality, scrap, labor, and safety targets
Support customer reviews, prototype builds, tooling needs, and production readiness
Enforce safety standards and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions
Provide other support duties as assigned by the supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or similar)
At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with paint technology, especially Ecoat/CPM processes
5 years of experience managing teams or technicians
ERP system proficiency (e.g., SAP, iAuditor, or equivalent)
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of surface chemistry and paint material behavior
In‑depth knowledge of cataphoretic (Ecoat) coating processes
Experience operating chemical production equipment
Familiarity with automotive corrosion standards and quality requirements
