Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Process Technician to join a growing manufacturing team on 3rd shift (11:00pm – 7:00am). This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of injection molding equipment. From machine setups and mold/color changes to monitoring production for quality output, the Process Technician will be a go-to resource for troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and process reliability on the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and start/shut down injection molding presses as needed

  • Monitor machine performance to ensure quality parts are being produced consistently

  • Apply scientific and decoupled molding techniques to troubleshoot and improve processes

  • Support mold and color changeovers with accurate setup and verification

  • Make end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) adjustments to improve part removal efficiency

  • Train and support junior technicians and operators in proper procedures

  • Program and operate robotic systems used in production

  • Maintain accurate documentation of setup changes, process updates, and tooling requests

  • Communicate tooling issues and help track repairs through proper channels

  • Identify and implement opportunities for cycle time reduction and process improvements

  • Perform material handling duties and assist with mold setups as needed

  • Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  • Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Process Technician working with injection molding machines

  • Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

  • Solid understanding of scientific molding practices and troubleshooting techniques

  • Comfortable using and programming robotic systems

  • Ability to pass training/certification for Hi-Lo, overhead crane, and lockout/tagout procedures

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
