Job Summary: 

The Sr. Operations Manager is a high-level leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations across multiple Tier-1 automotive manufacturing plants. This position requires a U.S.-based candidate who is open to full-time travel and being onsite at plants to ensure operational excellence. The role involves managing teams, driving continuous improvement, implementing strategic business growth initiatives, and maintaining high-quality and cost-efficient production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing, multi-plant management, lean manufacturing, and financial performance optimization.

This role requires a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of automotive manufacturing, metal fabrication, and operational strategy in a multi-plant environment. The ability to work onsite at plants and travel extensively is mandatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and oversee operations across multiple automotive manufacturing plants, ensuring consistency in processes, quality, and efficiency.
  • Coach and develop plant leadership teams, fostering a strong culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize production flow.
  • Drive strategic business growth by identifying opportunities for expansion, capacity optimization, and competitive positioning.
  • Manage P&L, budgeting, and cost-saving initiatives to maximize profitability and ensure financial health.
  • Develop and execute process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant performance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards across all locations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, engineering, and quality, to align operations with corporate goals.
  • Serve as a key liaison between corporate leadership and plant operations, effectively communicating expectations and performance metrics.
  • Travel extensively to plant locations to provide hands-on leadership, assess operations, and implement best practices.
